Amid the quaint Bavarian inspired city of Frankenmuth lies the epicenter of Christmas cheer – Bronner’s CHRISTmas Wonderland. Since 1945, this sprawling holiday haven has grown to proclaim itself the “World’s Largest Christmas Store” with its twinkling lights, familiar carols, and Yuletide magic embrace.
The Bronner family opened their first Christmas-centered shop downtown in 1945. But it was the 1977 debut of the current 27-acre complex that transformed Bronner’s into a year-round festive destination. Today, over 50,000 trims and gifts under one roof attract more than 2 million wide-eyed visitors annually.
Upon entering, shoppers grab maps to navigate the store and surrounding festive acres. A rainbow spectrum of ornaments shimmers down each aisle, from handblown German glass to personalized family treasures. Glittering trees reach to the ceiling, while model trains chug past villages and manger scenes. Outside, carolers roam and Santa has his own house to meet excited kids.
In 1992, founder Wally Bronner expanded the cheer by recreating the Austrian Silent Night Chapel on-site, inspired by the famous Austrian Oberndorf Chapel.
This wonderland stays open 361 days at 25 Christmas Lane, just south of Frankenmuth. Let Bronner’s get you in the holiday spirit, with gifts for every Christmas list. With twinkling lights, familiar carols and Yuletide magic, Bronner’s embraces the spirit of the season. Discover why it’s hailed as “Christmas…365 Days a Year!”
