Meet swimming polar bears and hop with the kangaroos in this exciting animal experience. Home to over 2,000 critters is the Detroit Zoo. Boasting a global collection of birds, fish and other wildlife, this zoo has some amazing exhibits and fun events.
Since 1928, the Detroit Zoo has been featuring a variety of animals on display for visitors to meet. Over the past century, the zoo has grown and expanded to showcase more animals and attractions.
One of the most notable exhibits at the zoo is the Arctic Ring of Life. In this part of the zoo, polar bears and sea otters swim in recreated habitats. It is also known for being one of the biggest polar bear exhibits in North America.
In addition to the Arctic display, the zoo boasts animals from the Australian Outback, the Asian Forest, American Grasslands, African Forest and African Grasslands.
Also, each year the Detroit Zoo hosts the famous Wild Lights at Christmas. There are other events such as Yoga at the Zoo and various animal lectures.
