Located in the roundabout on Utah Avenue stands a huge fountain dedicated to the history of Idaho Falls. It is thought to be one of the largest eagle monuments in the world. In fact, much of the materials that compose the fountain were locally sourced as it was constructed in 2006.
Eagle Rock was once the name of Idaho Falls from about 1866 to 1891. This 26′ tall fountain was dedicated to remember the local areas past and pay tribute to the name of Eagle Rock.
This huge fountain is locally famous and considered a unique place to see when visiting Idaho Falls. The fountain shows two large eagles that soar around the waterfall taking care of their young eaglets. Meanwhile a mountain lion stands on prowl at the water below.
