History

Gulf State Park has plenty of fun recreational opportunities aside from the beach from camping to hiking, and fishing to chasing butterflies at the gardens.  If freshwater lakes are more your interest, be sure to check out the 900-acre Lake Shelby.

There are vendors within the park that offer rentals or excursions for visitors. Some vendors can include kayak or paddleboard rentals and even parasailing trips
