The beautiful cascade that creates Wagner Falls is an iconic waterfall in the Munising area. It topples over a set of three drops before entering the Anna River below. This river is unique because it actually flows north to Lake Superior.
The trail back to the falls is on a boardwalk style hike and round trip is about .25 miles. This makes the waterfall easily accessible. In fact, the falls are located only about 1.5 miles south of the city of Munising.
Wagner Falls is free to visit as no Michigan Recreation Passport is needed. There is a small parking lot with boardwalk trails that lead back to the observation site. A sign by the road marks the entrance to the trail and is located on M-94 West just past the M-28 East intersection.
