With several interactive stations filled with immense knowledge on ancestral history, the Family Search Library provides a fun experience for your inner genealogist. This library is like no other with its displays providing years of research, family photos and historical information all right in downtown Salt Lake City.
The Family Search Library allows people from all different walks of life to come together to learn about tracing their heritage. Discover famous people you may be related to, learn about important events, trace your family on maps and even record your own story sessions about your life.
Not only are there genealogists on site, there are also large collections of history available to be searched. Also, classes both online and in-person are available.
The Family Search Library is located at 35 NW Temple Drive in downtown Salt Lake City. The library is operated based on a collection from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
If you are planning on visiting the library, creating your family tree first online or in the Family Search app, will allow you to have a more immersive experience at the library. If you do not have time before going, there are plenty of computers to get started on once you get there.
